Hand-crafted timber frames are the building tradition in central Europe, so this style of structure formed the basis for the Dietrich's software development. However, as beam processors and SIP manufacturers entered the market, the Dietrich's programmers added modules to assist these industries. In Europe, more beam processors, including the Hundegger, are programmed using Dietrich's software than any other software. In 2002, Dietrich's began development of a module for round log builders, which continues to be expanded as our clients request innovations. Wil Dancey, Managing Director of Dietrich's North America, is an experienced log builder and timber framer. This has enabled him to guide this development and attract industry leaders as clients. Proud to sponsor the LTBI in both 2004 and 2005.

The idea of protecting wood with nature's own ingredients is almost as old as wood itself. More than a thousand years ago, the ancient peoples of Norway took resin and gums from the heartwood of trees, warmed it and applied it to their Stave Churches with a broom. Those buildings are still standing. Sansin Enviro Stains are created using the same principle. With Sansin Enviro Stains, not only can you protect your wood naturally - you can also invite the beauty of nature into your life. Our collection of 79 unique colors is inspired by the stunning beauty of our world - the deep blue of a summer's sky, the rich yellows of the ripe harvest, the pure tones of the Southern desert.

Westwood Custom Windows & Doors Ltd. is a Canadian owned family business. We start with hand picking and colour matching the wood, accuracy in assembling, then taking special care in the sanding and finishing. This all ensures a quality result for our customer. We have achieved and maintained a high standard of quality in all of our windows and doors, which will provide you with long lasting satisfaction and beauty.

The open-cell foam is impregnated, compressed to the size of the opening to be sealed, and shipped in reels. The stored strain-energy of compression in the foam means continuous back-pressure is exerted against the logs. This pressure, combined with the adhesive nature of the impregnation, assures reliable adhesion to both upper and lower log surfaces. As the logs shrink and expand with seasonal temperature and humidity changes, long-term sealing contact with the log surfaces is maintained.

Insulspan SIP is a structural insulating panel. Each SIP consists of a core of solid EPS insulation that is laminated between two sheets of engineered oriented strand board (OSB). The result is a strong, energy efficient building component that can be used for walls, floors, and roofs of timber framed and log homes.
Insulspan SIPS arrive 'ready-to-assemble' meaning all pieces are factory engineered, fabricated and precut to fit together so that the cranes already on site to handle logs and timbers can handle the erection of the Insulspan SIPS as well. Log home and timber frame builders can lock-up the building envelope much faster which helps protect the customers' valuable log and timber investment.
